Our Programs
There are 3 Senior Secondary course types:
-
ATAR, General or Foundation (e.g. English and Mathematics)
-
VET (e.g Certificate II in Animal Studies, Automotive Prep)
-
Endorsed programs (e.g Workplace Learning, ASDAN)

VET qualifications are Nationally Recognised Qualification (e.g Certificate II, III. IV). A range of VET Delivery to Secondary Students (VETDSS) Certificate qualifications are offered to senior secondary students through Central Regional TAFE, and off-campus delivery. These qualifications are fully funded by the Department or Training and Workforce Development (DTWD), however, there may be a small resource fee which applies. Other registered training organisations may provide qualifications if/when they are part of a School Based Traineeship or Apprenticeship.

The School Curriculum Standards Authority (SCSA) Endorsed programs are awarded unit equivalence (55 hrs = 1 course unit). Some of the endorsed programs offered at St Joseph's School include the Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network (ASDAN), and Keys for Life.

The Virtual Schools Network (ViSN) is a network of Catholic schools who work together to design and deliver online courses. ViSN also offers specific Certificate II and Certificate III qualifications whereby students remain on campus to complete courses.
